n Chris Babcock's art classes, children learn to paint and draw by interpreting the paintings of modern masters and contemporary painters using only professional quality acrylics and non-toxic water soluble oils on the finest variety of papers imported from around the world.
During each lesson, Chris gives some history behind each painter and painting the children study. The students use the right brain drawing technique and basic shading and highlighting techniques to complete three new paintings every six weeks.
Chris Babcock was educated at The School of Visual Arts in NYC and Chautauqua Art Institute. She has taught her classes all over the Bay Area for the last 15 years. Currently, Chris teaches her outstanding art classes at The French American School, The Sacred Heart Schools in San Francisco and Atherton and Ross School in Marin.
She is a best selling children's book author (No Moon, No Milk! Scholastic) and sells her portraits of children all over the United States.
